“TO FOLLOW THE TAO IS TO FORGET THE SELF”
Buddhist thought speaks of a lack of the permanent Self while in Humanistic Psychology we explore the fulness of Self. How can we bring these two, on the first glance, opposite concepts together and apply it to our creative practice?
Through Novembers online Course we will be exploring the fluidity of identity and the non-attachment to our idea of Self. We will delve into the experience of imposter syndrome, originality and the Buddhist philosophical concept of True Nature.
MEDITATION
Asks if we can observe an object, and ourselves, without identifying.
MARK MAKING
Explores the subconscious attachments and narratives we use to identify ourselves, using meditation to gently dissolve them and open our awareness to an expanded and empty state of being.
QIGONG
The nourishing qualities of the Wood element can help us find stability among many obstacles, we as creatives can experience in our practice.
